General Objectives
The objective of the project is to evaluate in the Emilia-Romagna area the efficacy of new varieties of processing tomatoes resistant to downy mildew and alternaria.
Specific objectives:
- Make blight- and alternaria-resistant varieties available to farms,
- Characterize varieties for quality aspects,
- Enhancing Italian and regional genetic research,
- Establish a dedicated supply chain based on suitable varieties, present a seed company that holds the parental lines, organic farms, and a processing and distribution industry.
